Do you ever wonder...what makes you put up with certain people??
I often ask myself , why do i behave a certain way when i absolutely dont want to behave that way....more often than not I can't give myself a convincing answer. Is it love, is it respect, is it fear, or is it out of habit?? There is something which makes me behave thay way and bear all the nonsense. I do realize its all not worth it, but then again I feel it might just be worth it...
If i stop now I know i can save myself a lot of pain and stress but the question is...Do i want to stop???

There is a very small difference between love, respect and fear !!
You also respect the people you love an at time fear them too..
Our behaviour mostly come from the way we want people to behave with us..
Men tend to be extra nice to the pretty girl in the department because they want her attention..
Sub-ordinates behave differently in front of bosses (trying to impress them) again for the attention.
This desire for attention is very evident and direct in us when we are kids.. You will see a toddler cry for attention.. But as we grow up we disguise the desire well.. but we still need the attention / appreciation..
Because there are so many of us in one of us.
And only the one that satisfies them all, wins it all.
i agree with what jiju said.. i think at some level u still feel the need for their appreciation.. so maybe u continue behaving the way u have been for so long.. which earlier would work as you would expect.
but when sometimes the scenario changes.. maybe its wise to still keep an eye on the same goal.. but look for a fresh new approach.
and remember that sometimes the best way to convince others may be to BE convinced urself and ACT that way for your own self.
I guess how much u like the person defines how much you can put up with him/her..
